Welcome to the website of Ensemble Pro Victoria; British solo voice early music ensemble.

Founded at the University of Cambridge in 2015 by Humphrey Thompson and Toby Ward, EPV specialise in the music of Tudor England, the Spanish Golden Age, and the early Baroque.

Recently awarded joint-first prize in the London International Early Music Festival Young Ensemble Competition, EPV are building a reputation for visceral, historically-informed performances delivered by some of the the best British consort singers under 30.

Frequently premiering reconstructions and championing lost or underperformed works, Ensemble Pro Victoria are proud to be associated with the AHRC-funded Tudor Partbooks research project, led by Professor Magnus Williamson, academic adviser to the ensemble.

2021 sees the year-long project 'The Fayrfax Quincentenary', including a CD recording on Delphian Records

Ensemble Pro Victoria return to the London International Festival of Early Music in November 2021, with a programme of baroque music from the French and English Chapels Royal.
